Daily details from the garden to bring you inspiration throughout the year

The string-of-hearts or sweetheart vine (Ceropegia woodii) is a perfect houseplant for those who might be a little forgetful, being surprisingly tolerant of under watering. Neither is it particularly demanding of light, so it will quite happily sit atop a tall bookcase from which spot it can trail its long stems of variegated, heart-shaped leaves. Be warned that such neglect has limits, and weakened plants will become susceptible to mealybug and aphid attacks.
